Editorial Strategy at Getty

At Getty, I led editorial strategy across digital platforms, focusing on accessible audience-first storytelling about art and cultural heritage. I oversaw campaigns that supported major exhibitions and institutional priorities, and helped build Getty News & Stories into a dynamic and accessible storytelling platform. My work focused on clarity, consistency, and audience growth by streamlining workflows across the organization and leveraging data insights.

My role included:

  • Leveraging data-driven strategies to expand reach and sharpen content impact

  • Collaborating across marketing, curatorial, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and efficient workflows

  • Championing accessibility and inclusive storytelling to connect with diverse audiences

  • Establishing content calendars and editorial strategies to ensure a slate of engaging and fresh content across verticals

  • Assigned and edited stories for Getty News & Stories

Getty Exhibitions: Storytelling and Editorial Lead

Working collaboratively with curators, educators, and marketing teams, I helped identify compelling multi-channel story angles that supported and enhanced Getty’s exhibitions.

My role included:

  • Developing strategic content plans, coordinating articles, multimedia features, social campaigns, and newsletters for each exhibition

  • Directing the creation of engaging educational and promotional content tailored to diverse audiences

  • Leveraging audience insights to refine storytelling approaches and maximize reach

  • Ensuring cohesive and compelling narratives across all digital touchpoints

12 Sunsets: Ed Ruscha

I led the communication department’s editorial and content strategy to support Getty’s 12 Sunsets project, a digital archive of more than 65,000 images from Ed Ruscha’s Streets of Los Angeles project.

By diving deep into the digital archive, we uncovered surprising, quirky, and meaningful stories about life in Los Angeles. I commissioned cultural historian Josh Kun to write a 10-part editorial series that went inside Rucha’s images to explore the musical history of Sunset Blvd., inviting audiences to experience LA in a whole new way.
